Like it or not, video is just another form of photography. Color film was
looked upon with discuss when it first appeared as did the motion picture.
It's is a new format and it is readily available, which means that its full
potential has not been put to use by the railfan community.
I have just noted a very big parallelism between the railroads and railfan
photographers. The railroads traditionally are very slow to pick up and use
new technology and methods of doing the work at hand. It appears that
railfan photographers follow this same criteria.
