Greetings, I updated the SPORRS web page somewhat. In the next couple of days, I will have the image submission specifications on the page. You will be able to send me digital files as attachments (to me, not the list) or slides (in the mail) that I can scan, then put them up on the SPORRS web page. I will list your caption and shooting information with your images if you provide it in your E-mail. I'm just going to select and paste it right in as you wrote it. We are not limited to the number of thumbnail spaces that are currently on the home page. Just like Dorittos, I can make more.
You can put any articles that you wrote (maps included!) up on the site too. Contact me for info until I get it listed on there. Hopefully some of this will promote discussions on this list. Since this is a list about RR photography and the list server physically can't redistribute image files, we can put them on the web site which most of us can easily get to. ...we are all photographers here, aren't we? :) More on all of this silliness next week (on the web site). Anyone who needs to reference the SPORRS Info File about anything including subscribing and unsubscribing, can now do so on the web page if they like. Thanks for the comments that have trickled in so far about the site. There has been some good ideas and I look forward to hearing more. I still have a few mails to reply to! There are currently a few of my shots on there filling up space until other images replace them. You can tell me how much my shots stink and how bad those quick scans were if you like now. :) Future scans will be much better and color corrected in Photoshop. Yes, I will fix your scans too if I have the slides to compare them to (or I will just make sure your sky is not green like one of my examples - that stuff is easy to fix). Anybody want to see some clean blue Mopac stuff from about fourteen years ago? I may scan some of that. I usually piddle around with little changes and fine tuning here and there almost every day when I have time, so check the site from time to time to see what's new. If anyone wants a link to their own web site (hopefully RR related) on the SPORRS site, then send me your URL with any description and I'll put it on there. The only requirements on all of this stuff is that you are a SPORRS list subscriber. Lots more details in the future. It's a start. BTW, Warren liked the first version of the 'organ pipe' background. :) I may get a wild hair and put something like rail and ties on there soon.
