For those of us in a vegetative state, cutting down and removing junk trees
growing from the ballast and pushing cable TV wires up into out shots is
not destructive.  The railroad and the utilities cut this stuff down
anyway, and I'm not going to wait for them to come by once a year.  I've
been known to saw down a few trees now and then, but since this is a
railroad photography list and not the Sierra club "I stepped on a chipmunk
in the woods and I'm sorry" forum, this is OK.  Just don't destroy private
property or injure yourself.  This is a common sense issue.
