I dug out the slide again and looked at it with a 4X loupe. It looks clear, but not razor sharp. I looked at it with an 8X loupe. I could have done better. The frame before it and after it is in perfect focus, but I didn't like where the train was in them. I also didn't like my scan from my old Nikon LS-10 Coolscan, so I just rescanned it today with my Polaroid SprintScan Plus: http://www.anet-stl.com/acphotog/sporrs/dlcup6843ca.htm I think this new scan looks a lot better, but the UP yellow may be off now (wouldn't you know it's finally sunny here in St. Louis at the moment and the sun is coming right in the office window and killing all of my screen contrast so I can't tell!). I'll look at it again tonight. How does it look in comparison? The old one is still on the server for comparison: http://www.anet-stl.com/acphotog/sporrs/up6843ca.htm Regards, Dave Dave Cohen Photographer Action Photographic Webmaster [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.anet-stl.com/acphotog/home/ -> SPORRS: 'Serious Photographers Of Railroad Related Subjects' -> Web Site: http://www.anet-stl.com/acphotog/sporrs/ -> Message © 1998 SPORRS® - All Rights Reserved
