Dave Maffei asked about buying a slide projector....Well Dave I have a very basic Kodak Carousel 4400. No frills, just a remote forward / reverse and focus unit (uses a cord). It's been great, built like a rock (14 years old). All you have to do is clean it and change the bulb occasionally.
However, if I were you I would purchase one with auto-focus. This would be a great luxury to have. Also, if you have your slides processed by A&I or Fuji you definitely want to spend the extra bucks for a flat-field projection lens. This will make a tremendous difference in the way your slides look on the screen. Just my opinion.
