I have a chance to visit Kansas City next month for a meeting of ASTSWMO (Association of State and Territorial Solid Waste Management fficials -- Really!). I'm considering coming in a day early, renting a car and spending a day (Sunday 19 April) taking pictures. My question: Is it worth it? Is there a good guide to neat spots? What would SPORRS members familiar with the area recommend? I was stationed at Ft Leavenworth in the late 70s so I generally know where the BNSF yard is, but that is about it.
