Greetings from Kansas City,

As a native of the Kansas City area and current resident, I can
wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this area for railroad photography.
There is no longer the spectacular variety of railroads that there was in
the 70s and early 80s, but the scenery is still pretty decent, and the
railroads have been busy with maintenance
and updates to their facilities.

The railroads that remain are busier than ever around here, and it's still
possible
to shoot a very satisfactory variety of action, without ever setting foot
on any
railroad property.

I would be more than pleased to offer advice on interesting locations if
any SPORRS member would care to contact me via private email. It's
unlikely that a visitor to K.C. will be disappointed with the activity
here, even if their time here is brief!

Respectfully,

Keith Wilhite
