I would like to add that before computers were being used to manipulate images
there were spotting brushs. They were very good for blending old newspapers
into balast and eliminating light bulbs on poles. Were they considered
cheating? I don't think so. In one article the person in overall charge of
the facility was more than a little concerned about trash on the ground. I
told him not to worry about it and "picked it up" with the spotting brush. he
was most impressed.
