Having learned lots of stuff since becoming a SPORRS member, I'm hoping to tap the collective wisdom of the subscribers to solve a mystery. At the URL below is a picture taken at Cima Hill on the UP south of Las Vegas. On the cab of the trailing CNW unit is a red spot! Upon closer examination, it appears to be a reflection of the adjacent signal. http://www.teleport.com/~cdonald/Favorites/spot.shtml The question? How did it get there? To deepen the mystery, it also appears on a wider angle shot taken a few moments later. I have not had a similar occurrence before or since. Ideas? Equipment/Conditions: Near sunset, Nikon N50, Nikon f2.8 80-200 at about 200, Provia 100, shutter priority, auto mode Thanks http://www.teleport.com/~cdonald/Favorites/spot.shtml Chuck Donaldson West Linn, Oregon "Somewhere West of Denver" (A West Coast Railfan's Photopage) http://www.teleport.com/~cdonald/ ======================================================= -> SPORRS: 'Serious Photographers Of Railroad Related Subjects' -> Web Site: http://www.anet-stl.com/acphotog/sporrs/ -> Message © 1998 SPORRS® - All Rights Reserved =======================================================
