I like Mark's shot too, and it is a nice shot, but it is also a flatbed
scan of a color print, so it does look 'painted'.  I would like to see
everyone's work who is capable of showing it, but this is one good example
of why it is so hard to compare digital images.  I do not think it is fare
to compare different quality digital files and from different scanning
methods, so this is one reason why the Shot Of The Month is difficult, and
perhaps a good idea that was lost in the technical inconsistencies.

You'll get the full story sometime tomorrow, but keep in mind that it's
impossible to discuss a shot or digital file accurately without knowing how
it was made.  Or without all of the shot information included.
