I am not sure about the nature of the fabric, but I seem to find the stuff in almost every camera store and usually available in a wide variety of pastel colors. Typical claim on the packaging: "Literally lifts oil and dirt due to its unique construction". I think the stuff works. I have used the following cleaners, but for some reason I like Edwal's the best.
