Hi, This version (verison-03) addresses the comments received so far, the updates include:
1. According to the mailing list discussions, there was preference to the "one label" option for SR path identification, hence, the "two label" option is removed; 2. According to the suggestion from Sasha, add a new section to support "Nesting of Path Segment", by using Binding SID, it can not only reduce depth of the label stack, but support both sub-path and end-to-end path monitoring; 3. Many editorial changes; Additional review and comments are appreciated Best regards, Mach > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Friday, October 19, 2018 9:56 AM > To: Rakesh Gandhi <[email protected]>; Weiqiang Cheng > <[email protected]>; Lei Wang > <[email protected]>; Royi Zigler <[email protected]>; > Shuangping Zhan <[email protected]>; Mach Chen > <[email protected]>; Han Li <[email protected]>; Mach Chen > <[email protected]> > Subject: New Version Notification for draft-cheng-spring-mpls-path- > segment-03.txt > > > A new version of I-D, draft-cheng-spring-mpls-path-segment-03.txt > has been successfully submitted by Mach(Guoyi) Chen and posted to the > IETF repository. > > Name: draft-cheng-spring-mpls-path-segment > Revision: 03 > Title: Path Segment in MPLS Based Segment Routing Network > Document date: 2018-10-16 > Group: Individual Submission > Pages: 11 > URL: https://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-cheng-spring-mpls- > path-segment-03.txt > Status: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-cheng-spring-mpls-path- > segment/ > Htmlized: https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-cheng-spring-mpls-path- > segment-03 > Htmlized: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-cheng-spring-mpls- > path-segment > Diff: > https://www.ietf.org/rfcdiff?url2=draft-cheng-spring-mpls-path- > segment-03 > > Abstract: > A Segment Routing (SR) path is identified by an SR segment list, one > or partial segments of the list cannot uniquely identify the SR path. > Path identification is a pre-requisite for various use-cases such as > performance measurement (PM) of an SR path. > > This document defines a new type of segment that is referred to as > Path Segment, which is used to identify an SR path.
