We sometimes pump a gallon or two (depending on the length of the drop) of raw glycol in through the bottom valve and leave it. Any condensate that collects will mix with the glycol. It's worked well so far. I use one of the rigid manual hydrostatic pumps with the basin.

Subject: Drum drip (condensate trap) maintenance in dry system

We have a recently-installed dry system in a garage in Colorado. Would
like to know if we need to do any maintenance on the drum drips - is
there any sort of standard on how often these should be checked/drained,
if at all?

Thanks -
-Robert.-
