NFPA #30, 4.1.1 This chapter shall apply to the following: 4.1.1(2) "The storage of flammable and combustible liquids in portable tanks and bulk containers whose capacity exceeds 3000 L (793 gal)..." AHJ contends that 4.1.1 and 4..1.(2) are not applicable because the IFC is referencing the tank supports and does not specify a minimum size. Has any one else run into the requirement for a sprinkler under the fuel tank in a fully sprinklered pump room and what did you fight or comply. Does anyone know of interpretations or commentary regarding tank supports.
