Are there any pipes, wires, ductwork of any kind that contain
combustible insulation running in these areas?

Where are the projector screens in relation to this space and does this
space have any opening into the occupied space. Is there any of the
projector apparatus within this space?

Also what would the farthest point within the space to the nearest exit
be?

Subject: Concealed/Utility Space

The Architects on my project have created a strange space that I am not
100% sure what to do with. The space is just over two feet wide. It is
located on the exterior wall of the building. The building rooms have a
set back but they created a space out of non-combustible glass, steel
,etc to keep the appearance of a flat exterior wall. The space is two
stories high with metal grating between the floors. It has a man door
on each level. It's mainly windows on both sides. I've been told this
space is to be used for maintenance of projector screens and washing of
windows.
Does this make this an occupiable space requiring sprinklers? Is this a
non-combustible concealed space even though it could be occupied for
maintenance? I guess it all really depends on the definitions of
concealed and occupied. The space has heat release vents but nothing to
protect it from the cold in winter. I'm extremely worried about
sprinklers freezing in the winter and overheating in the summer. Prior
to me coming on the project, the officials required sprinklers in the
utility tunnel because it could be occupied. Any thoughts out there?
