If they don't provide any ductwork for temperature control I wonder how
do they intend to prevent condensation from forming on the windows?
That would look nice after a few weeks when the moisture starts to
promote mold and mildew growth??????

If there are no points of access into the building and there are ZERO
combustibles (don't forget about checking on exposed building insulation
within the space), and with it being a decorative facade it seems
extremely unlikely to be used for storage, it would seem useless to put
sprinklers in that space. For what? And to protect what from what?

Subject: Concealed/Utility Space

There's currently nothing in this space (no pipe, duct, etc.). It's
viewable from the main street. The projector screens are on the inside
of the building and not in this space. I don't know how they would have
access that's just what I was told yesterday, haven't been able to
figure it out yet. The furthest point is probably 72 ft to the door to
the inside followed by probably another 70-100 ft to the stair.

Are there any pipes, wires, ductwork of any kind that contain
combustible insulation running in these areas?

Where are the projector screens in relation to this space and does this
space have any opening into the occupied space. Is there any of the
projector apparatus within this space?

Also what would the farthest point within the space to the nearest exit
be?

Subject: Concealed/Utility Space

The Architects on my project have created a strange space that I am not
100% sure what to do with. The space is just over two feet wide. It is
located on the exterior wall of the building. The building rooms have a
set back but they created a space out of non-combustible glass, steel
,etc to keep the appearance of a flat exterior wall. The space is two
stories high with metal grating between the floors. It has a man door
on each level. It's mainly windows on both sides. I've been told this
space is to be used for maintenance of projector screens and washing of
windows.
Does this make this an occupiable space requiring sprinklers? Is this a
non-combustible concealed space even though it could be occupied for
maintenance? I guess it all really depends on the definitions of
concealed and occupied. The space has heat release vents but nothing to
protect it from the cold in winter. I'm extremely worried about
sprinklers freezing in the winter and overheating in the summer. Prior
to me coming on the project, the officials required sprinklers in the
utility tunnel because it could be occupied. Any thoughts out there?
