If you are calculating 2 heads in a system with a .05 density, what is a full flow test going to tell you? Let's say you have 50 psi static and 20 residual at 1500 gpm. With 2 heads at 20 gpm each, what is your residual pressure on the flow test given at 40 gpm. You may have 49.9 psi available. I believe that is why they are saying that a pressure test is an adequate test for a 13d calculation. Now, you still have to account for the friction / elevation losses from the test point to the base of riser and through the system.
