As a "trick" for WalMart, if you can get the files in DWF format, as I have
on a few ocassions, you are set. There are several programs available on
the web to convert the DWF to DWG format. I have done 3 WalMarts in the
last 12 months that we were able to get DWF files. It saves a lot of time
getting their backgrounds done.

Does anyone know why WalMart refuses to give out their DWG files, other than
because they can?

Did anyone ever try the PDF to DWG converter that was discussed on here a
few months ago?

The other issue is architects refusing to give cad files because of
liability or whatever (can you say Walmart?). I have a clause in my standard
contract that covers both. The dollar value I include is somewhere around
the value of my mortgage, so that typically makes things disappear.
