Any takers on Andy's question?  

Have a similar situation in what we call a pole barn - main wood trusses
6'-8' o.c. with 2"x4" or 6" purlins spaning between the trusses.  These
purlins are <3' o.c. and attic heads can't be used because of the cut sheet
obstruction rules (figure 16A, B).  Now what if the spray insulation covers
the purlins?

If the spray on insulation totally coves the top cord of the truss does this
affect the attic spacing requirements? The channeling affect of the top cord
is not there.
