Yes, that is part of my problem, the other part is that NFPA-13 requires the
hanger component attached to the pipe to be listed. Can anyone point me to a
listed Split Ring?

I don't think the problem is the attachment but the split ring. All the
split rings I find are rated at only 180# or 300#.

No! We always load test out shots, before installation, and sample test
during installation. Hilti does this for free, as a service to sell more

shot's and pins. Hilti also has Engineers letters they can provide with
their anchors.
The minimum Tension load for 3/8" quick bolts is over 2000 Lbs (When
installed per installation instructions) I think this will exceed any load
up to and including 4" pipe on 15' CTC between hangers.(Only about 1150 Lbs
total 5x waterfilled weight of pipe +250)(Note 2007 9.1.3.5(3) limits
spacing to 10'-0" for 4" and larger) Hilti will come and do a test pull for
you, before you order 2000 pieces and find you need 3" into concrete to meet
load vs 11/2"
(Other fine brands sold by associate members may also perform
satisfactorily)
