Subject: Replacement Pump Couplings

Hello Campers,

I have a couple of fire pumps that my client (on the recommendation of their
insurer) has asked me to replace the couplings on.
They both have the Woods style elastomer 2 piece insert style coupling and
their insurer (FM Global) has issued recommendations that these be replaced.
I've been looking at the Lovejoy straight jaw style coupling and plan to use
them for the replacements.
I have a couple of questions for the group:

Do Fire Pump couplings have to be listed for Fire Protection Service?
Does anyone have any criteria for the following:

Load/torque rating.
Safety Factor.
Dampening material?

Tom

Oh-I have some verbiage I got from my friend at FM but I'm waiting for his
permission before post it.
Thanks
