1. When more Flex couplings than required are used, additional Lateral Sway
bracing shall be installed at ever other extra coupling.
2. When hanger rod shorter than 6" from top of pipe to the point of
attachment/structure are used lateral bracing is not required.
Our position has always been that if you use the short rods, it doesn't
matter how many flex couplings you install Lateral bracing is still not
required.
Any other opinions?
