We use quite a few of them on our 13D backflows which all seem to come with
ball valves.
We've also installed them at the owner request on the drum drip ball valves
of dry systems. You need a slow close control valve for a sectional valve,
to prevent water hammer, so these won't work, since 1/4 turn ball valves are
anything but "Slow Close"

Actually Charles, it clamps to the valve body. Meant for a ball valve only,
like when you have a listed bfp assembly with ball valves and they have to
be monitored.
Not cheap! They list for $225.

Hello RFI,

Potter makes a switch that can be added to ball valves for this RBVS, BUT
since it clamps to the pipe for mounting it might not be suitable for use
with CPVC.
