Here is a new one (to me) from our friends at the COE. Has anyone out there run into this before and if so what did you do?
Unified Facilities Guide Specification, 3.4.6 Pipe Joints. "Grooved joints shall ne be used in concealed locations, such as behind solid walls or ceiling, unless an access panel is shown on the drawings for servicing or adjusting the joint." The drawings we have don't show and access panels in the gyp-board ceilings so I guess we can't use grooved couplings.
