Geoff:

Unless those fire retardant-sprayed areas are somehow isolated from the 
remainder of the attic, it would seem you would have to include them in your 
area (2 systems).  BTW - are you confident you can meet the volume and/or trip 
time requirements with just one system?

We have an attic that is 53,000 sq ft.  3000 sq ft has been sprayed with
fire retardant. (dormers and eves)  Can we say we have 50,000 sq ft or is
the area still considered 53,000 sq ft??  2 dry systems vs 1 dry system??
