Is it around say 140 or 25. That might make a difference. I wouldn't think a 25 psi jump would be an issue. I'm sure there is a difference in longitudinal cracking vs. transverse and the cause. The fire pump churn is roughly 175 psi but the jockey pump is set at 150 psi. Would repeated water hammer from weekly/quarterly/annual tests create enough fatigue to cause failure? Todd G.
