does anyone have the justification that added both requirements to 25.
I can see backflow test after flowing water because these stupid
devices fail so often but I'd certainly like to see a statistical
analysis of failures to open, a data based probability of how how
many of the anticipated inventory are expected to fail to open in a
fire and the a cost/benefit analysis of doing this test. We're
sticking backflows on every sprinkler system because once about forty
years ago a sprinkler system may have been responsible for water
smelling like onions. That's a lot of money that could have been
invested in sub-prime loans instead.
