Subject: 3/4" pipe

I have a specification that states nothing less than 1" pipe shall be used
for a sprinkler system. Is there anywhere in NFPA 13 that prohibits the use
of 3/4" pipe? I know in the 2007 Edition 8.15.19 states new installations
shall have a minimum of 1" outlets for piping supplying sprinklers below
ceilings. This section doesn't specifically come out and state that all
piping must be 1". In 8.15.19.4 all piping with the exception of a 4" nipple
shall be 1" minimum.
Am I missing something or is 3/4" allowed per NFPA 13?

Thanks,

Jim
