What sammy?  The concrete screw?  I looked at that and as long as you hit
the in-between points it looks ok.  I think you could do the same with
inserts, so until something better comes up that's what I'm going with.

There is a Sammy for vertical installation in concrete and their detail
shows it going into plank. Would that work?
