Might want to look up what happened at the Riverview IRA in Wells, Hamilton County, NY if you are told 13D, just to make sure this doesn't get repeated with you holding the bag. I believe it was four dead in a new, sprinklered group home. Grand Jury report very telling- I wonder if NY or other states have addressed the widespread problem. I'm not aware of wholesale protection increases in PA.
Misclassification of risk, not occupancy, as well as omission of a draftstop, contributed to fire assumed to be from smoking on porch by employees. glc -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ron Greenman Sent: Friday, August 13, 2010 11:35 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Assisted Living Facility Depends on how your State's social services department defines assisted living, or how your building code defines it, or both. assisted living is not universally defined anymore than nursing home or group home is. The social services department typically will determine how many and what assortment of need can be defined as a particular category such as (and I'm just pulling a number out of my ....) a maximum of twenty with up to four having some sort of dementia. Exceed either criterion and the facilities licensing requirements change as does the definition of the facility. The definition determines level of staffing, security, etc. in addition to fire protection.
