Regarding the tech update rcvd this morning and sprinklers in HVAC /
Water Heater Closets:
What if the water heater is on the bottom and SEALED off from the HVAC
closet on top via gaskets on the door? If a fire broke out in the WH
part, heat would not escape until the shelf or gaskets burned through.
And since the door is 1/4" plywood, the possibility exist that the fire
would break into the corridor prior to setting the head off at the top
of the closet.
Does the Tech update still stand?
