Per NFPA 30 TABLE 16.5.2.1, I am designing a system using Layout "E" for the
in-rack. I am wondering if I am supposed to balance the in-rack with the
overhead? I have noted that NFPA 30 for schemes A,B, & C sections:

16.6.1.6 Ceiling sprinkler demand shall not be included in the hydraulic
calculations for in-rack sprinklers.

16.6.2.6 Ceiling sprinklers for containers that do not exceed 1 gal (3.8 L)
capacity shall meet the following requirements:
(1) Ceiling sprinklers shall be designed to protect the surrounding
occupancy.
(2) Ceiling sprinkler water demand shall not be included in the hydraulic
calculations for the in-rack sprinkler protection.
(3) Water demand at the point of supply shall be calculated separately for
in-rack and ceiling sprinklers and shall be based on the greater of the two.

16.6.3.5 Ceiling sprinkler demand shall not be included in the hydraulic
calculations for in-rack sprinklers.
16.6.3.6 Water demand at point of supply shall be calculated separately for
in-rack and ceiling sprinklers and shall be based on the greater demand.

These all call for the overhead NOT to be balanced with the in-rack but
nothing is mentioned for scheme "E".
