This is a new sprinkler installation and having on site problems with testing
of the PRVs for each floor in the building. The design engineer is not helpful
and the installers have no clue of how to test them. Will you be able to
describe how the actual test in done? I thought you also need to use a pitot
tube, but how can this be done if you use a short piece of testing hose with
one side connected to the drain riser and the other side just after the PRV.

Thanks,

I have used a single 2½" female hose x male thread adapter, about a foot off
the floor. Then you use a short piece of 2½" fire hose for testing.

Tom,

Do you have a picture or a sketch of a drain riser and connections for a 2-1/2"
pressure reducing hose valve? I'm having a hard time picturing how this all
goes together. Also any hints on distance or arrangement would be helpful.
Thanks

Todd
