Esteemed sprinkies:

Thanks for the replies. Fact is I have half the job done anyhow.

Let me add fwiw, existing system = sucks. Bad spacing, too far from walls.... got 2 heads, need 3 and the ceiling's a mess to boot. I's cluttered with those old 48" diffusers, random return air grills, and
a drunken lighting layout.

So I'm (re)using the exiting lines that are plenty high enough above the ceiling, dropping to a tee and piping downstream or upstream to pick up an additional head - getting as close as I can to a relocated head with a flex tail.

That way, I figure to save on friction loss, added 72" of rod (over a ceiling, remember) and get the best of all worlds.
Do a quick calc, and it should be quitting time by then!

I haven't hung from pipe for a while and I wondered what the rest of world thought today. Thanks!

Just curious here....

Has anyone ever hung pipe from pipe? Not trapeze, but a situation under
1" and 1ΒΌ" branchlines doubling back to catch new head locations....
