We did some service work at a building that has a pressurized tank for water
supply.  This is the third time we went there that the air compressor to the
tank was off.  The company that does the inspections happened to be there and
my service guy asked why the compressor was off.  His response was that an
engineer told him that after you pressurize the tank, you turn the compressor
off.  I always thought that you keep the compressor on to maintain the tank
pressure, similar to a dry system, to keep the pressure higher to push all the
water out of the tank if you need the entire supply.   The compressor does have
a pressure switch on it.

Am I correct on this thinking or am I missing something?
