Does it conflict with the 3x rule?

If all no then no sprinkler.  Doesn't matter that it's slatted or not. Same 
basic rules apply.

Quick question, A customer has a small retail store in their church and as 
decoration has hung a wooded pallet horizontally from the ceiling. It's a 
typical pallet with open space in between the slats, roughly 50% open area and 
hangs about 12" below the sprinkler deflector, is a head required to be added 
in the pallet?
