I always assumed because the fire department would be drafting that hose into a
fire truck which had a pump, so effectively they don't "need" any pressure,
just the water to be available without sucking the main dry?

Subject: Hose Stream PSI

Quick question-
I may have too much time on my hands today but I guess I never really noticed
that no additional PSI is added (required) for the additional gpm for outside
hose stream, why is that?
