As far as I know that's true for CVPC. There are other colors of CPVC for
plumbing applications, and Lubrizol has a "gold" yellow color CPVC that is
compatible with orange CPVC for the plumbing only portions of combination
systems, but all CPVC listed for fire is orange. Grinnell used to make pipe
that was red or or very reddish-orange if you will, but that's been gone
for a long time. Last I know is all brands of fire listed CPVC are made
from pellets solely supplied by Lubrizol.
