Tony, adding to others comments, always verify with the pipe manufacturer and be prepared to provide documentation to AHJ, and wait until after rough inspection/hydrostatic testing has been completed and passed.

In the Blaze installation manual it states, "If painting is required, use only latex based paints". So it is obvious that the piping can be painted. My concern is if the markings on the piping giving the pipe listings are covered, will it be a problem? I guess this will apply to steel piping also, and their pipe markings are regularly painted over without any concerns. But I thought I will ask. The other concern is regarding the color. Blazemaster has a characteristic color identifying the product. Will changing the color be a problem?
