Since you typically have to do this foam calc with the sprinklers
flowing as well, how would you represent all of that in the program? I
have used FDT for a dry tree in the past. I hated the input as I don't
use SprinkCAD, it was very tedious inputs. Also, for these foam systems
many times the overhead is a grid and the program can't handle
grids..... just thinking out loud and wondering...

I have never been asked to do this. Not to sound stupid, but would it just
be a matter of taking velocity in the different pipes and adding it all up?
That could easily be done in an excel spreadsheet.
