DING DING DING. We have a winner. Historically ESFR has no limit on clearance. It is simply an Up to on Ceiling height and up to on storage height. Anything below the two maximums is applicable. That is how the criteria is still applied but behind the scenes clearance has become an issue (as to whether the allowance is allowed in the standard aka it applies to both new criteria being added or existing criteria being allowed to remain.)
