sorry I forgot the subject... -----Original Message----- From: Sprinklerforum [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Brad Casterline Sent: Monday, March 30, 2015 3:32 PM To: [email protected] Subject:
We have an A.H.J. insisting on documentation that standard spray sprinklers are approved for installation heights of, in this case, 40 to 50 feet AFF. This is not storage- it is Atrium and similar. For discussion purposes, assume NFPA #13 (2013), please. We are thinking a sprinkler for this application is not height dependent. All construction is Non-Comb, some obstructed, some un-obstructed. I fear this might be a matter of "too generally known to be written down anywhere", but then the A.H.J. is not from this area. any sharing of thoughts or experience will be appreciated!!! thanks, Brad Casterline, NICET IV Fire Protection Division FSC, Inc.
