We have an A.H.J. insisting on documentation that standard spray sprinklers are 
approved for installation heights of, in this case, 40 to 50 feet AFF.
This is not storage- it is Atrium and similar. For discussion purposes, assume 
NFPA #13 (2013), please. We are thinking a sprinkler for this application is 
not height dependent. All construction is Non-Comb, some obstructed, some 
un-obstructed. I fear this might be a matter of "too generally known to be 
written down anywhere", but then the A.H.J. is not from this area.

 

any sharing of thoughts or experience will be appreciated!!!
