Does anyone know if FM offers an equivalent to the dwelling unit calc in NFPA 13?
They approve three different heads as residential, and they have fairly large orifice sizes, so using them for 13D only seems strange. I checked the 2-5 datasheet, and it appears to apply only to 13D style installations based on the scope. It says anything beyond this to go to 3-26. Then in 3-26 there are no mentions at all about residential or dwelling units, so this is where I'm at now, thinking I don't have any options beyond a normal HC-1 1500 SQFT calculation. Anyone have any experience with this? I called one of the head manufacturers and they couldn't help me. Thanks everyone in advance, and enjoy your weekend!
