I just recently completed a residential design project where FM Global was the insurer.
I was told they don't recognize 13R. I had to calc it as HC-1. I used the 6.9k sprinkler for open areas and 2.8k for closets and small bathrooms. I was permitted to use the small room provisions to determine area of coverage for the sprinklers in the dwelling units. Based on that criteria, the FM Global rep approved on first go.
