WI, I haven’t done a residential project in some time. The building is concrete floors with non-combustible framing so maybe that makes the difference.

I am designing a high rise right now that the builder states the only fire rated walls per floor are the common corridor walls. I asked if the walls between the units will be rated and he said no. *From:* Sprinklerforum [mailto: [email protected]] *On Behalf Of *Roland Huggins *Sent:* Wednesday, July 06, 2016 12:55 PM *To:* [email protected]; [email protected] *Subject:* Re: Dwelling Unit Sprinkler Calc I’d look at whether it qualifies for the room design method (since dwellings units are separated by fire rated construction but the protection of openings poses a question). They each have three Residential Sprinklers. 13 requires a four head calc. Can I calc the 3 residential sprinklers and pick up one QR sprinkler in the corridor and still satisfy the 4 head requirement? Or, should I pick up one residential sprinkler from an adjacent dwelling room?
