Guess I forgot that little tidbit of info.... It's a 13 system. I did read 
through 8.15 and didn't see anything that would allow them to be unprotected 
but when I was at the site today it was just one of those things that looked 
odd.

We're working on a wood framed building that has several "bump-out's/soffits" 
that will be covered with GWB. Are heads required in all of these ?
