High-rise Condo Building. Non-combustible construction. I refer to 8.15.7.1 which points me to 8.15.7.2. If I meet the requirements of 8.15.7.2, can I stop reading and omit the sprinklers on the balcony? Specifically, the penthouse level balconies have outdoor kitchens. It's been questioned whether or not these are required to be protected. I can't find anything in NFPA 101, the Florida Fire Prevention Code or the Florida Building Code that would be more restrictive than 8.15.7.2
I say the sprinkler protection is not required, outdoor kitchen or not. Comments?
