Hi all We are looking at using the new FM Global DS8-9 design criteria for a 55 ft (16.7m) ceiling warehouse (Table 14a or 14b) which using K33.6 (K48 metric) sprinklers on a pre-action system. A 'roof only' solution - no in-rack sprinklers. This would be the Tyco TY9101 sprinkler. But apparently Tyco will only supply this sprinkler to accredited Quell/Vanquish installers here in New Zealand. Even an independent supplier of Tyco heads is advising they cannot get them. We only want to follow FM design, not use Tyco Quell/Vanquish system.
Just wondering if anyone else has struck this issue?
