I have a customer with an existing system that the fire marshal wants brought up to code. Some is simply adding/relocating heads, but some is that the original installation company used 1/2" drops for the sprinkler heads. The fire marshal wants all of them changed. The customer wants to know where in code it says that 1/2" drops are not acceptable and why using a 1x1/2 reducer is. Thank you!
